CHERIN ABDELAAL SELIM
Registered Psychologist BA, MEd, PGDip Child & Family Psychology
Cherin established Child and Family Psychology Services in 2010 and has 20 years of experience as a Registered Psychologist. She is a lecturer for the Child and Family Psychology programme at the University of Canterbury. Cherin has particular interests in the assessment of and intervention for trauma, parent-child relationship and family court issues, anxiety, autism and sleeping difficulties. She offers a variety of evidence based interventions, including CBT, TF-CBT, trauma memory processing, parent-child interaction therapy, IY and Triple P, ACT, EMDR, reunification therapy and animal assisted therapy. Cherin tailors the intervention to suit the individual needs of the client. Cherin also offers clinical supervision and training to other psychologists and professionals working with children, young people and families.
She is a member of the New Zealand Psychological Society, Christchurch and Auckland Family Court Associations, Infant Mental Health Association, EMDRNZ and AFCC.
KIMBERLEY WILSON
Registered PsychologistDip TchgLn, BSc, MEd (distinction), PGDip Child and Family Psychology
Kimberley has been working with children and families for the past 20 years. She is experienced in psychological assessment and intervention for infants, preschoolers, school-aged children, adolescents and adults with a wide variety of difficulties. Kimberley has particular interest in working with families who are experiencing challenges as well as with individuals who have experienced trauma. She has specialist training in EMDR therapy, CBT, EF-CBT, DBT, and Reunification Therapy, as well as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Triple P and Incredible Years Parenting Programmes. In addition to working with children and families, Kimberley also provides professional supervision, and professional development and training.
Kimberley is a member of the New Zealand Psychological Society (NZPsS), the Christchurch Family Court Association, the Association of Family and Conciliatory Courts (AFCC), EMDRNZ and EMDR International Association (EMDRIA).
EMMA CHAPMAN
Registered Psychologist MSc (with Hons), PGDip Child & Family Psychology
Emma is a child and family psychologist with over 10 years experience working with children, adolescents and their whānau. She loves working with the strengths of the children and the system surrounding them, and utilising this to enhance resilience and connection while providing evidence based interventions. Emma has worked in a in range of settings including the not for profit sector, education, private practice and CDHB. She has trained in and utilises a range of treatment modalities including EMDR, ACT, CBT, ERP, DBT, T-CBT. Emma has specialised interests in OCD, traumatic incidents, anxiety, grief, ADHD, family separation, parenting work and group work. She currently runs primary and teen OCD groups, art groups for children and teens with anxiety and the incredible Years parenting group. Emma has also facilitated yoga groups, mindful retreats, tuning into kids, tuning into teens and the EMDR group protocol.

KATE DANNA
Registered Psychologist BA, MA, PGDip Child & Family Psychology
Kate specialises in providing assessment and intervention with children, adolescents, young adults, and families who may be experiencing a range of challenges. Kate has particular expertise in working with anxiety, challenging behavior, cognitive and learning concerns, developmental disorders, health-related illnesses (e.g. child cancer), low mood, sleep disturbances, and trauma. She uses a range of evidence-based interventions such as acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, positive parenting programs, and solution-focused therapy. Kate also provides supervision to other professionals working with children, adolescents, and families.
Kate is a member of the New Zealand Psychological Society (NZPsS), the Institute of Educational & Developmental Psychology (IEDP), and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing New Zealand (EMDRNZ).
